Tal and I were planning on spending a weekend climbing in Yosemite, but as we drove into the park early Saturday the first drops of rain began falling. Rather than trad climbing on wet rock, we kept driving to Bishop for some weather-proof bouldering.

We visited the Happy Boulders, warming up on the Girl Fried Rock, doing mmm...nice (V0-) and giant (V0-). Then we ambled to the Savanah Boulder, pulling kling and smirk (V2), marty lewis's ever changing hair (V2), and beat it (V3). Plenty warm, we worked serengeti (V5) on the Serengeti boulder, and blached bones (V3/4) on it's namesake.

On Sunday we returned part way, stopping to sport climb at the central area of Owen's River Gorge. We clipped up five routes: nirvana (5.10a), orange peel (5.10c), albitarot (5.10a), light within (5.10c), and hammered (5.11b)

A nice day at Owen's River Gorge.
Tal got hammered.
